BRIDESTOWE Scout Group is the latest organisation to benefit from the success of Okehampton Rotary Club's fundraising.

The Rotary Club has donated £300 to the scout group to go towards their new cook tent, which will enable the scouts to have a better experience at their camps.

Rotary vice president David Potter visited the club to present the scout group with their cheque. He said: 'We are very grateful to the scouts for all the work and time the volunteers put in to help our young people gain new and exciting experiences and hope that the new cook tent, that this money is towards, will help with that aim of broadening their horizons.

'The Rotary Club Of Okehampton is very pleased to be associated with this group.

'We will always try to help with requests for funds, if possible, however if we are unable to assist with some requests, we would always try to point people in the right direction to help obtain the funds needed.'
