YELVERTON Bowling Club?s men?s team continued their victorious streak in the evening league by winning a closely contested match against Plympton by just one point. The score 82-81 in Yelverton?s favour.

The victory was sealed on the very last end on the rink skipped by Ron Hunter when he bowled the shot wood with his last bowl. In the other three rinks skipped by Mike Brain, Henry Towl and Bert Greatrex, Yelverton won comfortably.

Yelverton ladies? team came out on top against local rivals Tavistock in a closely contested league match. Yelverton and Tavistock shared the match, one rink each, but Yelverton gained the extra points by winning by ten clear shots overall.
