TEIGNTON Fayre in Drewsteignton, which was a popular and regular feature on the village calendar up to the 1970s before being revived for the millennium celebrations three years ago, takes place this weekend.

The event has attracted more than 1,000 visitors each year since it was revived and has raised funds for good causes in the area.

The church, local schools, hospital, children?s playing fields and pre-school groups have all benefited from the funds raised.

The early evening attractions will focus upon family entertainment and include live music, children?s fancy dress, simulated ?Sumo Wrestling?, dozens of side stalls and the usual food and drink.

Teignton Fayre takes place this Saturday, June 7, from 6pm. For further information, please contact Alan Brooks on 01647 281167 or Di Mudge on 01647 281643.
