Ryan Firman, of Exeter, 33, and Ryan Chard, 28, of Bridgerule, are accused of robbing Stuart Humphreys of cash and petrol vouchers worth £305.78 on December 12.
Both men are charged with possessing a 12-inch bladed knife in a public place at the Shell petrol station at Sourton on the same day.
Chard was also charged with attempted burglary with intent to steal, following an alleged incident at Bideford Pannier Market on January 6.
Both cases will be heard at Exeter Crown on March 1.
