SEVERAL roads are due to be closed in the North Tawton, Spreyton and Bondleigh areas early next year, due to water mains rehabilitation works.

The minor road joining Culm Cross to Spire?s Cross at North Tawton will be closed to through traffic for approximately three weeks, beginning on January 13. The alternative route is via Greenhill Cross.

At Spreyton, the whole section of road between Langdown Cross to Cullaford Cross will be closed for four weeks, starting on January 13.

There will be an access only order from Spreyton Cross, Heath Cross and Cullaford Cross to the closed section.

The alternative route is from Langdown Cross to Hollycombe Cross (the A3124) and Hollycombe Cross to Spreyton and vice versa.

And at Bondleigh, the road from Bondleigh Bridge to Cadditon Cross will be closed to through traffic for three weeks from January 13.

The alternative route to Bondleigh may be via Bondleigh Wood Cross or from Cadditon Cross to Red Post Cross (the A3124) and the minor route via Bondleigh Wood.

Access to properties in these areas will be maintained as far as possible during the work period ? any problems should be reported to the local service group on 01837 52773.
