THE main A386 Okehampton to Tavistock road was blocked for more than two hours on Sunday evening, following an accident involving a car and motorcycle.

Ambulance crews, police and Tavistock fire brigade attended the incident, which occurred near the old Tate and Lyle building two miles north of Tavistock at about 6.15pm.

The occupants of the car were unhurt, but the motorcyclist was taken to Derriford Hospital with leg injuries.
