RICKY Paull, founder and leader of the Buckland Monachorum Neighbourhood Watch, is retiring at the end of the month.
Ricky, who is now 77, said: 'I really no longer have the drive that I should have to continue doing the job.'
He will remain co-ordinator for the Modyford Walk and Hillview areas.
Ricky paid tribute to his neighbours — 330 households play their part, all but eight of the total population. He said without their support, the scheme would not have worked.
