THE Spooners and West Dartmoor Point-to-point will take place at Cherrybrook on Sunday.
The popular fixture held at the venue near Tavistock has, this year, been changed from Saturday to Sunday to avoid clashing with the Grand National.
In addition to the racing there will be trade stands, a spit-roast, bar and refreshment tent.
Entries have been received from the notable Roborough owner/trainer Richard Kelvin-Hughes who has entered his successful horse Charlie Strong in the members' race. His Duke of Albany will contest the restricted race.
Local owners Messrs Jarman and Belinda Fuller have always entered their horse Lydford Castle in the restricted.
This race has been divided due to the number of entries. The other division has Lydford based trainer Pauline Geering's Henry's Song taking part.
She also has Brown Chieftan, Valman and Coombe Chorus in the Maiden.
From further afield, trainer David Pipe has Iranos entered in the ladies' and Darraydan in the men's open.
The committee has included the intermediate qualifying race. All runners in this race qualify to run in the Newton Abbot Racecourse Hunter Chase Final to be held at Newton Abbot on Saturday, May 25.
