A TAVISTOCK businessman is offering a £500 reward for information that leads to the conviction of the offenders who slashed eight tyres on his work vehicles at the weekend.

Colin Clarke of Tavistock Guttering and Fascias became a victim of crime overnight on Saturday/ Sunday (July 14/15), when criminals caused over £600 worth of damage to two vans parked in his drive at St Ann's Chapel.

Mr Clarke, who had a heart operation less than two months ago, has been left very upset and angry over the incident.

He said his main concern was someone coming into his garden with a blade.

'This was obviously a targetted attack because there were no other incidents around here that night. As far as I know we have no enemies, we do not fall out with anybody and have good working relationships with all our clients.

'We want to catch the person or persons who did this and I am offering £500 for information that leads to a conviction.'

Anyone who can provide information should call Callington police on 101 quoting the crime number BN/12/467.
