IMPORTANT consolidation works as part of the Burrator Heritage Project have been carried out at Lowery Barn and Longstone Manor recently, and artistic illustrations researched and created to show how these two important buildings looked before the reservoir was built. On Saturday, September 20, to celebrate the completion of the works, South West Lakes Trust has organised a heritage walk visiting Lowery Barn, Leathertor Farm and Longstone Manor and an unveiling of the artwork. Visitors to Burrator are very welcome to join in for the whole walk, a section of the walk, or just meet with trust staff at the ruins. Activities will be available at each site for children too. For the full walk please meet 10.15am at Burrator Discovery Centre to start at 10.30am, returning to the centre at 3.30pm. Please wear clothing for all weathers, sturdy footwear and bring lunch and a drink. Dogs are welcome on leads. Anyone wishing to meet at one or all of the ruins at a specific time for an introduction to each ruin and see the art work unveiled should be at Lower Barn at 11am, Leathertor Farm at noon and Longstone Manor at 2.30pm.
