A MAN had to be rescued by Okehampton firefighters after falling into the river from the East Street bridge last Friday night.
The incident happened shortly before midnight on Friday night, July 18.
Two Okehampton appliances attended the scene and stretchered the man out of the river and into a waiting ambulance.
