A SEA King helicopter was called to assist in the rescue of a visitor who slipped and broke her leg at Lydford Gorge last Thursday.
The middle-aged woman had slipped on rocks and sustained the injury. Unfortunately, due to surrounding trees, the helicopter was unable to reach her and Tavistock fire crew stretchered her to the helicopter, which then took her to Derriford Hospital.
