SIX PEOPLE were rescued from their vehicles following a traffic collision on the A30 between Sourton and Stowford Cross on Sunday.
Three fire appliances under the direction of Watch Commander Ian Donovan were called to the two-car incident, which occured just after noon.
On arrival, the crews from Okehampton and Hatherleigh set to work releasing the casualties from the cars using three sets of hydraulic rescue equipment and power tools.
All casualties were taken to hospital by land ambulances.
Their condition at present is unknown.
