DARTMOOR Search and Rescue Team Tavistock was called by Police to help a woman stuck on the moor on Sunday afternoon.

The woman was on Pew Tor and had injured her ankle and was unable to walk.

As bad weather was approaching, a hasty response was sent out to provide shelter for the casualty until a stretcher party reached her. The woman was then transported back to the roadside and taken to Derriford Hospital for further assessment.
