TAVISTOCK's Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team were called by police last week to search for a man missing in the St Mellion area.

Last Monday (May 24) DSRT Tavistock carried out an extensive search for the elderly farmer, with the help of colleagues from DSRT Plymouth, Cornwall Search and Rescue, and six Search and Rescue dogs.

The search started at 9pm and continued until 1.30am, when the teams decided to recommence early the next morning.

The missing man was found mid morning the following day feeling cold but otherwise well.
