OKEHAMPTON'S U3A's new season of monthly meetings starts with an important topic — The Future of Renewable Energy in the UK — Fact or Friction?

The group will be welcoming expert speaker Nick Morley, a lecturer in renewable energies at the University of Plymouth, to its next meeting.

Mr Morley will give a presentation on the current and possible future role of renewable energy in the UK, and taking a hard look at the challenging targets set by the EU and UK governments to dramatically reduce CO2 emissions.

There will also be a question and answer session at the meeting, which will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 2.30pm at the Ockment Centre.
