TAVISTOCK runner Adam Holland was first over the line in the Cornwood 10k.

The run winds around Cornwood and Lutton, mostly on roads but with some tracks and fields. Adam, who is a member of Tavistock Athletic Club, finish first in a time of 35 minutes 45 seconds.

The next day marathon man Adam took part in the Totnes 10k — the race its self is nearly all off road. It started and finished at Borough Park, Totnes. Adam finish third in a time of 36.43sec.

On Saturday Adam took part in the Less Than 10k, which runs through the beautiful Tamar Valley and mine workings. Adam won in a time of 27.52mins.

There was no resting on his laurels as the next day Adam was off to the Sidmouth Festival 10k run. An unusual start begins at the bottom of a 1 in 4 (25%) gradient hill, then after the 1km climb there's a flat bit on the open heathland, before disappearing downhill into the woods, and lots of undulating and muddy tracks, before looping back for the final headlong charge down the original hill at breakneck speed to the finish. Adam won in a time of 39.30mins.
