THE team at Sourton Cross Travelodge is celebrating a new look in the hotel after a £230,000 refurbishment programme.
The 42 room hotel, which opened in 1988, has been refurbished in five weeks without any disturbance to the day-to-day operation of the hotel. The extensive work was carried out by Travelodge's in-house maintenance team.
The refitted rooms include a new room design with an upgraded king size bed, larger desk, new carpet, and a tranquil blue colour palette. The work at Sourton Cross Travelodge is part of a company wide investment of £223-million to further grow the business.
Paul Harris, Sourton Cross Travelodge hotel manager said: 'We are very excited to have benefitted from this investment. The work was carried out with no disturbance to our day to day operation and the feedback we have received from customers has been outstanding. Everyone loves the new warm, contemporary feel of our new room and there is no doubt the hero of the room is definitely the Travelodge Dreamer bed.
'The demand for good quality branded budget accommodation in the area is growing at great pace, and now that we have a new room design we are offering even greater value in the local marketplace.'
