COLLECTION days for recycling and waste will be changing for around half of West Devon's households from Monday May 14.

The recycling service introduced in 2010 has been a success due to support from local people. Figures for the last 12 months show that residents have recycled 60% of their household waste, one of the best rates in the country.

The uptake has meant that vehicle routes have had to be rebalanced to collect all the extra recycling. The day-changes will also improve the efficiency of the collections and reduce the environmental impact of vehicle movements.

If you have not received notification from West Devon Borough Council, you can expect no changes to your service so continue to put your waste and recycling out on your usual days.
