THE upgraded recycling centre at Crowndale, Tavistock, is now fully operational.

Glass, textiles, newspapers, garden waste, cardboard, cans, metal and wood are among the household items and materials which people can take to the site.

There are new directional signs on the A386 Plymouth Road, pointing to the recycling facilities, which are open seven days a week.

The site also has a new information board providing advice on recycling.

The site has a target to recycle 60% of all household waste received during the financial year.

During summer, the centre will be open 8am to 6pm on weekdays and 10am to 6pm weekends.

In October until March the site will close at 4.30pm.
