THE annual Mount House School athletics day brought four new records and many outstanding performances on a warm and sunny afternoon.

Three of this year's new records were set on the track by senior girls, Lizzie Fearnley in the 100 metres, Izzy Kidner in the 800 metres and Lucy Walliker in the hurdles. Emma Manton set a new Intermediate record in winning the senior long jump event.

The Set Athletics Cup this year was won by Kangs, with Owls and Otters tied for second place. Rebecca Manton won the junior Victrix Ludorum award with wins in the 100 metres, high jump and long jump, and victories in the 100m and hurdles events gave Joe Beck the Intermediate Victor Ludorum trophy. The senior girls Victrix Ludorum was hurdles and high jump winner Lucy Walliker, and senior boys Victor Ludorum went to Ed Barlow for his wins in the 400m, 800m and 1500m races.

The awards were presented by Lucy Barlow, mother of Ed Barlow, and Ed's younger brother James, who won the junior 200m.
