A collection of almost 300 LP records has been given to a Tavistock family as part of their inheritance. But the Keast family intend to sell the records in order to raise money for the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB). The family's aunt Kathleen and uncle Raymond from Clevedon near Bristol died within nine months of each other and left the family many items, including the collection of 200 to 300 LPs. The records, with mono and stereo sound, range from opera to classical songs, including Bethoven and Bach, to Romeo and Juliet box sets. In charge of this large operation is Vicky Keast, whose bedroom is currently the home for the records. She said her family wish to use the money raised to support a puppy being trained for the blind charity, in memory of her great aunt and great uncle. The money donated will support Cara the puppy for two years – funding the charity to feed and train the puppy as a guide dog. If anyone is interested in making a donation by buying a couple of records or would like to purchase the entire collection, contact Vicky on 07852 334364.
