THE Cancer Research UK local committee wishes to say a huge thank you to those people who have supported our fundraising events this year. We particularly want to thank those who organised their own events such as the Hair Bare Bunch from Bere Alston, Divas and Mini-Me from Tavistock and all those who have supported them. We are also grateful to those who supported our coffee morning, our appeals week and the pink ribbon month ? it was encouraging to see so many pink ribbons around! We are delighted to report that £620 was raised. The help that Operation Sunshine receives in the South West is wonderful and really appreciated, however, we would like to appeal for specialised help. Is there someone in the area, who could help with the checking and repair of sewing machines before they are sent to various countries in Africa? We also need help to clean tools.
