STORE owner Ravi Jhangiani, who runs two Spar shops in Tavistock and Plymouth, was the lucky winner of a Ford Fiesta in a prize draw for retailers held at a Devon tradeshow.

Ravi was one of hundreds of people attending the tradeshow, staged by Spar's regional distribution company Appleby Westward, at the Westpoint Arena, Exeter. The show, the premier retail convenience event of its kind in the south west, attracted store owners from all over the region. A special prize draw was held for Spar retailers, and Ravi's name was first out of the hat.

Ravi, whose stores are in Abbey Place, Tavistock, and West Hoe, Plymouth, said he planned to give the car to his daughter Ekta.

'She was about to change her car for something smaller, and said only the other day that she wanted a Fiesta. I cannot believe that I have actually won one,' he said.
