HORRABRIDGE consolidated their second position in the division with this excellent victory against a team one place behind them.
Kicking uphill Horrabridge took the lead with a fine opportunist goal from Sam Branch.
Play became more even and Mayflower went close with two good chances. But Horrabridge went further ahead with an excellent 25-yard free kick from captain Alex Cuthbert.
Both teams made enforced changes in the second half and the game became even, especially when Mayflower reduced the deficit with a well taken goal.
Mayflower started to press but excellent defensive play from Ben Wyatt, Dana Turner, Ed Hobbs and Ton Narraway together with goalkeeper Toby Chapman kept Mayflower at bay.
Horrabridge completed the scoring with a well taken goal from Sam Cooper and an own goal following a corner from Alex Cuthbert.
Substitute Nathan Walker marked Mayflower?s most dangerous player out of the game in the second half.
