TAVISTOCK Ramblers have just returned from a successful walking holiday in Cornwall. Twenty-eight members spent five days walking on the Lizard peninsula and on the coast around Falmouth Bay.

The photograph shows many of them on the beach at Durgan on the Helford estuary near Frenchman's Creek.

This holiday followed an equally successful visit to the Isle of Wight in the spring.

Now that October has arrived, the Ramblers are turning their thoughts to walks for autumn and winter. Their latest walks programme has just been published and has a great variety of walks ranging from three to 12 miles. There are walks on most Saturdays and every Sunday.

The walks programme is on the website at http://www.tavistockramblers.org.uk">www.tavistockramblers.org.uk and if you would like to join the group on a walk you will be welcome.
