GIVEN the Government's intention to devolve more power to a local level it is even more important than ever to ask the candidates standing in next month's elections to make clear their policies on any local issues which you feel are important.
One which is particularly relevant is the possibility that West Devon will adopt a 'cabinet' style of government (noting that the only assurance we have been given on this so far is that no proposal would be tabled before the May elections).
Whatever your opinion on this or any other subject, now is the time to ask the candidates to make their views clear, and to cast your votes accordingly.
