FOR the second week running any football for the Lambs? sides was swept aside. Langsford Park had surface water on it by 10am and with the rain coming down steadily and the forecast for it to remain the same for the rest of the day the eagerly awaited local derby between Tavistock and Callington was called off by 10-40am. The Plymouth and West Devon side had to wait until nearly noon before they were informed of the same fate. Unfortunately the Carlsberg side are without a fixture this Saturday but hopefully, weather permitting, the P & W D side will be in action at Langsford Park when they take on Dean Wood Plastering in the intermediate league with a 2-15pm kick off. It is the F A Cup 4th round this weekend with Southampton v Portsmouth 12-30 kick off and Manchester Utd v Middlesborough 5-30pm kick off with both matches being screened live on BBC one. l Please note the Red & Black will be open from noon. On Sunday Tavistock Ladies are home to Liverton 2pm. Tavistock under 18s away to Callington. l The committee meeting has been brought forward a week to Monday, January 31, 7-30pm.
