WEST Country author Maurice Dart, whose new book — 'Industrial and Narrow Gauge Railways: Cornwall' — which was recently reviewed in the Times, will be holding a book signing on Thursday, April 8.

The book, published by Halsgrove, covers many railways which have long since passed into history, illustrated with photographs, many of them taken by the author, who has been recording the railways of the South West since the 1930s.

He will be signing copies at the Launceston Steam Railway from 12.30pm on Thursday, April 8. As it is Easter week the railway will be open, with trains leaving Launceston hourly from 11am to 4pm.
