FUN for all the family is guaranteed at Lamerton's annual duck race, which this year will be held on Sunday, June 9.
As in previous years, the event will be staged in Broady Field which conveniently has a couple of hundred yards of stream, just right as up to 1,000 ducks will be racing against one another.
The duck race will be supported by games, stalls, cream teas, licensed bar, barbecue and for the third year, a fun run.
The fun run has a 5.25K open race with a demanding route to Lower Chaddlehanger and back, plus a less demanding junior race of 1.6K up the Great Haye lane.
The day's events will be opened by Cllr Debo Sellis at about 1pm, but those wishing to enter the fun run should be there half an hour earlier.
Any proceeds are to support the popular Lamerton Sports and Community Centre. This year the hall committee is hoping to increase the storage capacity at the centre.
