THE Breakaways team from Bow will be adopting a racing theme to support this year's break out of Dartmoor Prison. The 25th charity Jailbreak event on Saturday, April 19 is in aid of Vranch House School and Day Centre for children with cerebral palsy and other physical difficulties. Teams of two or more endeavour to break previous records, including travelling as far as possible without paying for transport while staying within the law or raising a new highest amount of money. The Breakaways team will be dressing as jockeys and will spend the day after their escape collecting money while making their way to Exeter City Football Club for the evening, when they will be holding a horse race night. The team will be running a tote on the night and there will be spot prizes such as a day at Exeter Racecourse and a clay pigeon shooting session. There will be auctions before some of the races to allow participants to 'own' horses to cheer past the winning post. Tickets are £5. Call Lin on 07967 129606 to book.
