IT'S time for people to get their thinking caps on, brush up on their general knowledge and take part in the huge cream tea and quiz afternoon at Tavistock's Pannier Market this month.

Fifty teams are being invited to take part in the quiz to raise money for BBC Radio Devon's Devon Air Ambulance Appeal.

Shaun McDermott, a market trader, said: 'We're hoping it's going to be really fun and want to get the community involved to raise lots of money for a good cause.'

The cream tea and quiz will take place in the pannier market on Sunday October 31, from 2pm to 5pm. Teams of four to six people can register by emailing [email protected]">[email protected] or calling 07771558245. Entry is £5 a person.
