A JOINT quiz night held in Yelverton raised the splendid total of just over £500 for two local charities recently.
The evening was organised by the committees of Yelverton Village Play Park and Yelverton Pre-School, who paid tribute to the generosity of local companies who donated prizes for the raffle.
They were the Bedford Hotel, Woodlands Leisure Park, South Devon Railway, Paignton Zoo, the Theatre Royal, National Marine Aquarium, the Monkey Sanctuary, Trethorne Leisure Park, the Garden House, Devonshire Health and Racquet Club, Megabowl, John Nike Leisuresport, Browns Hotel and McDonalds.
Profits from the evening will benefit the playpark and pre-school group.
