FOLLOWING another stunning and successful exhibition by Goosey Quilters, Brain Tumour research is set to benefit from £750 made from its charity raffle. West Devon MP Geoffrey Cox's wife Jeannie drew the winning ticket for the quilt made by the members. It was won by Sue Dawe, whilst Pam Books won the cushion and Sue Bently won a voucher for a workshop at Cartwheel Craft Centre. More than 800 people visited the exhibition and commented on the high standard and diversity of the work exhibited. Many people felt inspired to either start or return to patchwork and quilting. New members are always welcome to the meetings on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7.15pm in the Methodist Church Hall. For further details phone Ros Wiggins on 612440 or Pam Hunter on 614200.
