Tavistock U12s 24 Plymstock U12s 24 TAVISTOCK were slow to start and the Plymstock centre provided the first test for Josh Birch who had a fine first full game at fullback. Plymstock conceded a penalty from the ensuing ruck. Tavistock ran the ball out of defence but Plymstock turned over the ball for the first try. Tavistock started to impose their style of play with Aaron Dobie passing quickly to Finlay Ross who launched quick attacks with centres Glen Fuller and Matt Earp. The second Plymstock try came just before the end of the period. The second period saw Tavistock working hard to pull back the deficit but the Plymstock defence was breached after a good run by Nick Bennett and the third period was dominated by the home side. Fuller retrieved the kick off and stormed downfield through the defence before passing the ball to Dobie who dived over at short range. Promising full Tavistock debuts were made by George Alderton and Will Hill who both worked hard in the loose and set pieces. Earp made a break down the blind side and from the ensuing maul, Potter moved it wide to Bennett, who passed to Dobie to score. Tavistock took the game to Plymstock and second row Hill took the ball from the back of a maul and powered through for Tavistock?s fourth try. Plymstock were reeling and did well to regroup to pull back two tries to equalise.
