A CEREMONY was held at Drake Lodge, Tavistock for the presentation of the Abbeyfield Quality Standard Award following an assessment by the Abbeyfield Society.

The accreditation confirmed the society had achieved, and continues to work to, the highest levels of excellence in providing older people with housing and nourishment within a caring environment.

The Tavistock Society is one of the first in the country to achieve this award.

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of West Devon, David and Jacqueline Cloke, the Mayor of Tavistock, Sue Bailey, Deputy Mayor of Tavistock Mandy Ewings, and residents, volunteers and staff.
