Nomination papers are available by calling the Electoral Services team at the borough council on 01822 813604, emailing [email protected]">[email protected] or visiting http://www.westdevon.gov.uk">www.westdevon.gov.uk
Time is also running out to register to vote. Anyone who is not on the register by Monday April 20 will not be able to vote on Thursday, May 7.
Registration can be done online in just a few minutes at http://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote">www.gov.uk/register-to-vote — you will need your National Insurance number and date of birth to register.
People who are unable to vote in person on May 7 have only a few weeks left to apply for a postal vote or a proxy vote (where someone votes on your behalf).
The deadline for a postal vote is 5pm on Tuesday, April 21 , while the cut-off for a proxy vote is 5pm on Tuesday, April 28.
Go to http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk">www.aboutmyvote.co.uk or contact electoral services using the details above to request either of these.
Polling cards will be sent out over the next few days and voters are asked to check the details as there may be changes to their wards and polling station locations following an Electoral Boundary review which was carried out last year.
