THREE Callington Community College students made it through the tough selection process to be chosen to travel on the college's annual trip to NASA in the USA.

There was a very close selection process for the students wanting to attend the trip, which takes place in October each year and has been run by the college for more than 10 years. The chosen sixth form students, Issie Edwards, Jennifer Ross-Thomas and Jake Barker, will travel with other students from schools in the UK and will visit the home of Mission Control in Houston and the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.

The selection process involves a series of tests and challenges, from an intelligence test, to fitness activities and a formal presentation, all of which this year's candidates completed successfully.

The lucky students were presented with their certificates by college principal Sean Morris.

Thanks were expressed to everyone who had contributed to this year's process in any way. All the students have benefited from the process itself and the college looks forward to hearing about the adventures of the winning three students in November.
