THE gifted and talented club at Kelly Prep are currently planning their own museums, on topics as diverse as textiles, weaponry and dinosaurs.

As well as architecture and visitor amenities, they are considering such issues as finance and staffing.

On a recent trip to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, the marketing manager, Randolph Gratton, taught them about the importance of business plans and advertising. Pupils were given a tour of labs and offices to help them understand the many aspects of a visitor attraction which are normally not seen by the public.
