THE Tavy 13 Primary Challenge has the full backing of West Devon Borough Council. The challenge, open to primary schools in the district, is part of the Tavy 13 half marathon, which takes place in Tavistock on April 13, and organised by 5x30 Devonwide and Tavistock Athletic Club. Hannah Colston, the council's sports development officer, said: 'It's a fantastic feeling when you cross the line of a big running event, a mixture of excitement and achievement of a personal goal. 'The Tavy 13 half marathon event is set to be a great fun local race. 'By giving our West Devon children the opportunity to be involved on the day and soak up the atmosphere, it is hoped we will install the passion and enjoyment to keep them running into their adult lives.'
