PUPILS of Mount House School, Tavistock, visited the Houses of Parliament last week as guests of Ian Liddell-Grainger, MP for Bridgwater and formerly a Conservative candidate in West Devon and Torridge. Mr Liddell-Grainger, whose children were educated at Mount House, gave the pupils a guided tour, explaining the history and tradition of Westminster. On a clear and sunny day, the pupils were able to appreciate the size and grandeur of the Palace of Westminster when they viewed it from the London Eye (left). Mount House?s head of geography Mike Hill said: ?We have been studying politics at school, and in the immediate aftermath of a general election, we are very grateful to Mr Liddell-Grainger for giving up so much of his valuable time.?
