YOUNGSTERS from six primary schools ran through rain and mud to take part in a cross country fun run.
Lew Trenchard, Boasley Cross, Bridestowe, Pyworthy, Hatherleigh and Exbourne schools competed in the event which was held at Lew Trenchard school for the first time. Fantastic individual performances were seen across all schools.
Holly Martin from Pyworthy won the year three and four fun run, beating all the boys, and Jamie Crocker Valeron from Lew Trenchard was the first boy in this age group.
The race for the older children was long, wet and demanding with a stream and very wet fields to be crossed.
The trophy for the best combined team results was awarded to Bridestowe, with Exbourne coming second and Lew Trenchard third.
