ALMOST £200,000 has been given back to businesses hit hard by this year's foot and mouth crisis in West Devon, not £20,000 as incorrectly stated in last week's Times.
West Devon Borough Council has offered help in the form of a rate relief package to 93 businesses affected by the crisis. They include pubs, hotels, camp sites, garages, agricultural businesses and tourism attractions.
The rate relief scheme is still in operation and businesses who can demonstrate they have been affected by foot and mouth are urged to apply.
