TRAINED negotiators were called in to coax an inmate of Dartmoor Prison down from the roof on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the prison service said a prisoner went on to a roof at the establishment at 10am on Sunday. 'Trained negotiators were sent to the scene and the situation was resolved peacefully at 7.30pm,' she said.
The rest of the prison continued to operate as normal and there was no threat to security at any time.
No details of the man, how he managed to get onto the roof or what sparked his protest were revealed.
