MORE than 120 ?prisoners? clad in weird and wonderful costumes were released from prison at Princetown on Saturday, in the 20th annual charity Dartmoor Jailbreak.

Teams attempted to set a whole range of far-fetched records to raise funds for Exeter?s Vranch House School and Centre for children with cerebral palsy, plus a host of other charities.

The Torbay police planned to break their own record by visiting police stations in 22 countries in 96 hours ? dressed as Batman and Robin, Spiderman and Superman.

The Fat Boys set off to hike day and night to 50 Dartmoor tors in 24 hours, and the A team ? disguised as Hannibal, BA and co ? left for an undisclosed destination.

Organiser Sue Gould, of Vranch House, said: ?It was the best year ever for the variety and quality of disguises. Also we are thrilled to say that teams expect to raise £35,250 - £2,000 more than last year.

?The atmosphere was marvellous and even the rain held off.?
