A GROUP of Year 4 and 5 children from Okehampton Primary School have been having a taste of life at university.

The children and their teacher Jasmine Vallance recently visited Plymouth University where they took part in a day of maths workshops.

Miss Vallance said she thought it was really important to raise the aspirations of the children through a first hand visit to a real life university.

’The children are all very excited about going to university now when they grow up,’ she said.
