KELLY College Swimming Pool is celebrating after achieving the prestigious ?Approved Status? award through Aquamark. It is one of only two pools in the South West and 33 pools nationally to have attained this standard. The award followed a mystery visit where the facility was assessed in depth, its operation, marketing, customer care and children?s lessons. The aim of Aquamark is to assist in improving the level of swimming ability in the UK through the provision of consistently effective service. At Kelly there is a small, friendly and dedicated team of staff who are keen to help people learn to swim or improve whatever their ability. The pool provides a varied range of ?learn to swim? opportunities following the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming. Clare Short, the recently appointed Pool Manager, has been planning a very busy ?Summer Activities? programme. This includes Learn to Swim Crash Course programmes for adults as well as children and the ever popular Swim Fun Activity days and Rookie Lifesaving week.
