OKEHAMPTON Simmons Bowling Club welcomed 36 members on to the green when they held their annual president's day.

The afternoon was opened by president of the club, Brian Vernon on Saturday, June 12.

Members enjoyed four games each of six ends and ice creams during their break.

The winning triple was R Hunkin, T Dickman and J Tucker who beat the runners, J Middleton, B Holmes and L Wonnacott on shot difference.

The afternoon was completed with a ham and beef meal provided by Mr Vernon and his wife.
