NATIONAL Trust's Cotehele is warming up for some chilling events during autumn half-term.
The house and mill will be decorated for a ghostly Hallowe'en 'Freak Week', which began on October 25 and will run until Sunday, November 2, from 11am to 4pm.
There will be a children's trail in the house and some ghoulishly delicious goodies baking at the mill (normal admission charges apply).
The house, usually closed on Fridays, will have a special Hallowe'en-themed tomorrow (Friday), from 11am to 4pm. Then, if you dare, go along for 'Fright Night' later that evening from 6pm to 9pm.
The house will be in darkness so it is essential that you bring a torch. Normal admission charges apply; and members and under 16s go free. The shop and Barn Restaurant will be open late too.
Rachel Hunt, Cotehele's house and collections manager, said: 'It's a special experience for people to explore the mansion in the dark. Visitors on 'Fright Night' should prepare themselves for some spooky goings-on and things that go bump in the night.'
There is also Hallowe'en family fun down on Cotehele Quay until tomorrow (Friday, October 31), from 11am to 3pm. Join ranger Jamie and his team for monster making for £1.
The activities will involve sharp tools so children must be accompanied by an adult. There is no need to book but during busy times there may be a queue.
