SMILES all round! Tavistock's NHS dental practice notched up its first anniversary recently and now has almost 6,000 patients on its books.
To mark the occasion, West Devon mayor Cllr Terry Pearce and his mayoress June presented the surgery staff with a birthday cake, complete with one candle, to celebrate.
The surgery, which is managed by Associated Dental Practices (ADP), is at West Devon Borough Council's Kilworthy Park site. The borough council worked with the Devon Primary Care Trust to provide the dental service which still has capacity to take further clients in the future.
